4. Marketing
We will only send you marketing by email or text where you have agreed to receive it. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, by replying to ask us to stop, or by emailing stockport@mintro.co.uk. Opting out of marketing does not stop us from sending you messages we need to send about a transaction or service you are using.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, with the following types of recipient.
-
The police and other authorities, where we are required or permitted to do so for the prevention and detection of crime, or to comply with the law.
-
Fraud prevention and asset recovery agencies and recognised property registers, to help prevent the handling of lost or stolen goods.
-
Authentication partners, such as Cheshire Watch Company for watches and Entrupy for handbags, to verify the items involved.
-
Service providers who help us operate, including our payment providers, our point of sale software provider, our website provider, couriers and postal carriers, and our IT and email providers.
-
Our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
-
A buyer or successor, if we sell or reorganise our business, in which case your information would continue to be protected under this policy.
Where we use service providers who process personal information on our behalf, we put contracts in place requiring them to protect your information and to use it only as we instruct.
6. CCTV
We operate CCTV in and around our stores for the safety of our customers and staff, the protection of property, and the prevention and detection of crime. Footage is held securely, kept only for as long as needed for these purposes, and shared only with the police or other authorities where appropriate.
7. International transfers
We aim to keep your personal information within the United Kingdom. Where any of our service providers process information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK, so that your information remains protected.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it. Records relating to transactions are kept for at least six years to meet our legal and tax obligations, and longer where required for fraud prevention or legal claims. Identification records are kept in line with our anti money laundering duties. CCTV footage is normally kept for a short period and then deleted, unless it is needed for an investigation. When we no longer need your information, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, including access controls, secure storage, and staff training. We review these measures regularly. While we work hard to protect your information, no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you also have a part to play in keeping your account details safe.
